The 2010 African Banker Awards will take place in Washington DC, USA in October. The 2010 Entry Process is now open. You can download the entry forms in English and French here. This African Banker Awards is designed to recognise excellence in banking and finance in Africa and reward the people and financial institutions that are making a difference on the continent. Participants of the African Banker Awards included representatives from the leading African banks and financial institutions, international investment banks and private eq uity groups working in Africa, executives from intergovernmental organisations as well as African government officials and diplomats. The Africa Risk Summit

Sector Operations of the African Development Bank to discuss Investment Opportunities in Africa, their outlook and growth strategies for Africa and the bank’s role as a facilitator for finance and investment.
The briefing was an invaluable opportunity for business leaders and media representatives to meet the AfDB team and hear their views first hand.
COMESA Investment Forum

African Banker - ATM Security Forum Nigeria, 26 March 2010
The rapid expansion of Nigeria’s ATM deployment has exposed the country to increasing risks of ATM fraud. The ATM Security Forum 2010 assessed these risks and looked at ways fraud can be prevented. The forum unified buyers, sellers and policy makers in Africa’s most populous nation. Delegates were drawn from Nigeria’s banking community to hear from leading experts and learn from case studies to help maximize ATM security and minimize risk, for the benefit of their customers.
